This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, what types we use on mistertranslate.com, for what purpose, and how you can configure or reject them. It applies together with our Privacy Policy and complies with Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), as well as the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency and the ePrivacy Directive.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit them. They allow the website to recognize you on your next visit, remember your preferences, or measure how the service is used. There are also similar technologies (pixels, local storage, fingerprinting) that are regulated under the same criteria.

2. Types of cookies we use

Cookies can be classified according to different criteria. At MisterTranslate we use the following types:

  • Technical or strictly necessary cookies: essential for the website to function (keeping the session open, remembering the contents of the cart, saving the choice made in the cookie banner). They do not require consent.
  • Analytics cookies: they help us measure and analyze user browsing in an aggregated way, to understand which pages work best and fix errors. We use Google Analytics with anonymized IP when applicable.
  • Advertising and marketing cookies: used to show you more relevant ads on or off the site, and to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. They include Google Ads and Meta Pixel.
  • Personalization cookies: they remember preferences such as language or region, so you do not have to select them each time.

4. How to accept, reject or withdraw consent

The first time you visit our website, a cookie banner is displayed with three clear options: Accept all, Reject all (except technical cookies) and Configure, which allows you to enable or disable each category in a granular way. Until you give your consent, no non-technical cookies are installed.

You can withdraw or modify your consent at any time by clicking on the “Cookie settings” link located in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal.

5. Configuration from the browser

In addition to the banner, you can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functioning of the website:

6. Third-party cookies and international transfers

Google and Meta may process data as joint controllers or independent controllers, with transfers to the United States covered by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For more information, see their policies:

7. Controller responsible for the use of own cookies

The controller responsible for the use of first-party cookies installed from mistertranslate.com is CAES Marketing SL, with Tax ID B01718949 and registered office at Avda. Ernest Lluch 32, TCM-2 Planta 3, 08302 Mataró (Barcelona). You can contact us at info@mistertranslate.com regarding any matter related to cookies, including withdrawal of consent or requests for additional information about how they work.

8. Retention periods

The retention period for each cookie appears in the table in section 3. Once that period has elapsed, the cookie is automatically deleted from the device or becomes inoperative. The information associated with analytics and advertising cookies is kept for the period strictly necessary to fulfill the stated purposes, and is aggregated or pseudonymized whenever technically possible. Data derived from interaction with third-party cookies is retained in accordance with each provider’s policies (Google, Meta), which you can access via the links in section 6.

9. Legal bases

The installation of technical cookies is based on the legitimate interest in the proper functioning of the service, in accordance with the exception provided for in Article 22.2 LSSI-CE. The installation of the remaining cookies (analytics, advertising, and personalization) is based on the user’s explicit, freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent, granted through the cookie banner (Article 6.1.a GDPR).

10. User rights

The user may exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, and portability over the data processed by means of cookies, under the terms described in our Privacy Policy. They also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) if they consider that the processing does not comply with current regulations.

11. Updates

We review this Cookie Policy whenever we add or remove cookies, and at least once a year. If substantial changes occur (new purposes, new providers, or changes in retention periods), we will ask for your consent again via the banner. We recommend that you check this page periodically to see which cookies are in force at any given time.

For any query related to cookies you can write to info@mistertranslate.com. If the query concerns the processing of personal data, please state this explicitly so that we can handle it within the period provided for by the GDPR.
